About the company

Occidental Roofing provides engineering-driven roofing services for commercial, multifamily, and residential buildings in Arizona. It starts with forensic-level assessments, treating each project as an engineered system; for commercial and multifamily clients, it offers a Portfolio Condition Report that scores, ranks, and plans capital expenditures for an entire property portfolio in line with ASTM D7787. Residential services include full roof replacements, repairs, leak diagnosis, tile relays, and foam recoatings, with expertise in storm damage and insurance claims and documentation to insurer standards; systems include asphalt shingles, concrete and clay tile, low-slope foam, and standing seam metal. The company differentiates itself by combining the discipline of an engineering firm with a family-business approach to deliver detailed, system-based planning and stewardship of roofing investments, with a goal to elevate the roofing trade.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • The website touted 500-plus projects and a 4.8-star rating on 2026-08-14.
  • Open jobs in finance, marketing, and insurance show aggressive scaling through 2026.
  • Commercial PCRs already queued $962K of 36-month capital work across eight roofs.

What critics are saying

  • Built In listed only seven employees in May 2026, constraining execution and sales capacity.
  • ARCO had not completed accreditation review by 2026-09-22, limiting third-party credibility.
  • A single ROC complaint or insurance-claim dispute could damage trust and stall growth.

What makes Occidental Roofing unique

  • Fernando Moreno sells ASTM D7787-style Portfolio Condition Reports, not commodity roof quotes.
  • Tempe and Tucson offices support central and southern Arizona dispatch across 28 Phoenix cities.
  • HAAG-certified inspections and engineering backgrounds differentiate Occidental from standard roofing contractors.
