Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program in radiology is required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in computed tomography is required, or it must be obtained within six months.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging credentialing are required.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • An Image Wisely pledge certificate is required, or it must be obtained within 30 days of hire and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • An Image Gently pledge certificate is required, or it must be obtained within 30 days of hire and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • The ability to use a personal computer and position-specific software programs is required.
  • The ability to operate applicable office equipment is required.
  • The ability to work effectively across departments and with the public is required.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision is required.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location is required.
  • The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
  • The employee must have physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient-care needs.
  • Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision, are required.
  • Fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and the ability to grasp and handle objects are required.
  • The ability to use proper body mechanics to assist patients with ambulation and transfers in and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs is required.
  • The employee may be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to communicate effectively by reading, writing, and speaking in person or by telephone is required.
  • Periodic use of a personal computer may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of computed tomography scans for patients of all ages.
  • Apply the principles, theories, and techniques of computed tomography scanning to provide reliable scan results.
  • Work with patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • One year of computed tomography experience is preferred.
