Requirements
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • A customer service-oriented attitude and behavior, a pleasant and poised demeanor, and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Skill in using computers.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette, and customer satisfaction in support of the hospital's mission.
  • Serve as the front-line contact person for incoming patients.
  • Greet and register patients, schedule appointments, collect point-of-service copayments, and provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET.
  • Take independent action and project Cooper's values to customers and co-workers.
  • Serve as the patient's non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of recent registration or billing experience working in a medical facility.
  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals.
  • Experience with Epic.
  • NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification.
