Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in biological science, chemistry, or physics.
  • No prior relevant work experience is required; previous relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Responsibilities
  • Express proteins and protein complexes in Escherichia coli.
  • Purify proteins, protein complexes, and protein/DNA complexes using low-pressure and high-performance chromatography.
  • Analyze proteins and protein/DNA complexes by electrophoresis, spectroscopy, immunoassays, and enzyme activity assays.
  • Maintain written and electronic laboratory records.
  • Assist with ordering laboratory supplies.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment.
