Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing management or capital-equipment maintenance is required.
Proven managerial and people-leadership experience in an organization with more than 50 employees is required.
Ability to adjust to business priorities and company needs is required.
Ability to analyze and solve complex manufacturing and operational problems is required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization are required.
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations is required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to execution of the company’s annual plan and translate business priorities into manufacturing objectives.
Establish, monitor, and control department key performance indicators, ensuring ownership, timely reviews, and corrective actions.
Define manufacturing strategies, standard rules, work procedures, and operating rhythms supporting quality, lead time, cost, and delivery performance.
Align resource, capacity, and manpower plans with portfolio requirements and on-time delivery commitments.
Lead manufacturing practices and continuously improve processes, flow, productivity, lead time, and cost performance.
Partner with Procurement, Project, Engineering, Industrialization, Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to implement company policies, goals, and cross-functional improvements.
Select, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment, tools, and work areas to enable safe and efficient work.
Implement and sustain 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen practices across the manufacturing organization.
Implement and enforce quality-control programs to meet quality objectives and support zero-defect initiatives.
Analyze manufacturing and quality records to identify issues, eliminate root causes, and prevent recurrence.
Drive documented preventive actions and continuous quality improvements across manufacturing processes.
Ensure the team complies with company directives, safe work procedures, and work instructions to protect product quality and customer deliverables.
Coach, train, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
Monitor employee performance and implement interventions, including skills-matrix management, training, welfare support, career development, promotion readiness, job enrichment, and team-behaviour improvement.
Promote collaboration, accountability, discipline, and effective communication across the manufacturing organization.
Support a positive, safe, and productive working environment while ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
Set and control department budgets in alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
Manage manufacturing cost-improvement initiatives while balancing quality, delivery, and resource requirements.
Carry out other assignments as required to support business needs.

Strategy, KPIs and Business Delivery

Contribute to the successful execution of the company’s annual plan and translate business priorities into clear manufacturing objectives.

Operational Excellence and Cross-Functional Execution

Lead world-class manufacturing practices and continuously improve manufacturing processes, flow, productivity, lead time and cost performance.
Partner with Procurement, Project, Engineering, Industrialization, HR, Finance and other departments to implement company policies, goals and cross-functional improvements.
Select, maintain and improve manufacturing equipment, tools and work areas so that teams can perform their tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.
Implement and sustain effective 5S, Kanban and Kaizen practices across the manufacturing organization.

Planning, Cost and Budget Control

Set and control department budgets in alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
Manage manufacturing cost improvement initiatives while balancing quality, delivery and resource requirements.
Carry out other assignments as required to support business needs.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing management or capital-equipment maintenance.
Proven managerial and people-leadership experience in an organization with more than 50 employees.
Flexible, adaptable and willing to adjust to business priorities and company needs.
Proactive personality with a curious mindset and strong willingness to learn.
Able to analyze and solve complex manufacturing and operational problems.
Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills across all organizational levels.
