Requirements
  • A high school diploma/GED or at least one year of customer service experience in a virtual environment using internet, phone, and chat features.
  • Must hold adjuster licenses for all applicable states or obtain them within 90 days of completing the provided licensing training.
  • Basic math skills, moderate computer skills, and technical aptitude to use a variety of software applications.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements, including internet speeds and a designated workspace.
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute.
  • Strong customer service skills for internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to work flexibly between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, including weekends and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Contact insureds, claimants, and other involved parties to confirm loss details and applicable policy coverage; explain the claims process, next steps, and outcomes; and serve as the primary point of contact for auto physical damage questions.
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle first- and third-party auto and property damage claims from start to finish.
  • Take inbound customer calls and maintain an inventory of pending claims.
  • Conduct coverage and liability investigations.
  • Advise customers about available benefits, coverages, and liability outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee the claims process while keeping customers informed.
  • Negotiate damage estimates and supplements.
  • Validate vehicle reparability and monitor repairs.
  • Arrange towing, storage, and rental vehicles as needed.
  • Handle subrogation and total loss responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to insurance program agreements and Claim Service Level agreements between external clients and Mobilitas Insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations and policy provisions through required file documentation and correspondence.
  • Support other claims areas as needed.
  • Travel as needed for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings.
  • Fulfill business needs, which may include investing extra time and helping other teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Two or more years of customer service experience; prior insurance claims experience is also preferred.
  • Bilingual ability.
  • Auto physical damage training and/or I-CAR or SCLA enrollment.
  • Contribute actively to team success.
