Back End PHP Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly performant, scalable, and secure PHP applications for our core backend engine.
• Collaborate directly with Product Managers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that align with product goals.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure team to optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless deployment and operation.
• Lead by example in writing clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for system optimization, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
• Stay current with emerging PHP trends and technologies, recommending and implementing relevant advancements.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience as a backend Developer in a professional environment, with a significant focus on PHP.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and demonstrating measurable impact on product performance or stability.
• Deep expertise in non-framework development and object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker) and Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
