As our Lead UX Designer, you will work closely with the UX/UI Director and play a key role in overseeing important pillars of our extraordinary social, customization, and cross-platform experiences. In this role, you will craft immersive and engaging social features that redefine player interactions within the live and open world of Diablo IV.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Albany, NY, or Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the UX/UI leadership team to ensure all social, customization, and platform features achieve game goals and improve player experience.
Develop Diablo UX/UI maturity and create a healthy team culture with lead peers.
Continually evaluate the UX/UI based on feedback from users, user research, Game Designers, and Product Managers, among others.
Identify opportunities to improve implementation standards, processes, and collaborative workflows.
Ability to adhere to a project’s existing visual and interaction patterns.
Support interface screen implementation using efficient and flexible layout design.
Review and iterate with your team to ensure features are built to design specifications and presentation/interaction to both look pixel-perfect and feel great.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with game development stakeholders.
Maintain a positive attitude around receiving and providing objective feedback
Coach, mentor, and support your team members to grow and advance.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar on public products.
At least 3 years of experience as a Lead or People Manager in the Design field.
Experience with UX implementation in a modern engine or platform (e.g. Unity, Unreal or HTML5).
Experience with designing multiple control schemes (e.g. Controllers, Mouse & Keyboard, and/or Touch Screen).
Bonus
Passion for ARPG gameplay and nurturing a healthy game community.
Experience designing interfaces for a variety of platforms and/or control schemes.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $111,780.00 - $206,882.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
