Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and specialized or technical training
  • Minimum years of experience: 2 to 6 years
  • Lift Certification (Order Picker, Reach, or Dock Stocker)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures
  • Excellent English communication skills; bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred (listed under skills)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to follow safety rules and regulations as warranted by OSHA
  • Ability to supervise, coach, discipline, and manage attendance and performance of inventory control staff
  • Ability to interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff; manage schedules and duties
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily tasks in the Distribution Inventory Control function and report results to the Inventory Control Manager to meet deadlines and hold associates accountable for completing directives and daily assignments within approval range
  • Adjust and approve inventory adjustments within approval range
  • Report completion of all inventory tasks assigned to IC Manager, follow up with associates to ensure accountability, and turnover incomplete tasks to the next shift by email or verbal communication
  • Perform accurate positive or negative adjustments using correct accounts and within provided tolerance
  • Maintain flexible schedule to meet deadlines and customer demands
  • Set an example for safety, quality excellence, attendance, teamwork, and customer service satisfaction
  • Report accurately in daily management meetings regarding backorder requests, cycle counts, daily audits, Put Away, Empty Location, and Bin Walk Off Validations; enter information in the Scorecard and clarify concerns
  • Monitor and track associates’ absences, PTO, and vacation time
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline associates with proper documentation for policy infractions
  • Conduct new hire, 90-day reviews and annual performance reviews; set written expectations and attainable goals
  • Manage subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees; oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department; interview, hire, train, and schedule staff
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (listed under skills but also desirable)
  • OSHA safety proficiency (if listed as desirable)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and withstand warehouse environment (already listed in requirements, but could be considered desirable as well)
