Requirements
  • Expertise building, managing, troubleshooting, and providing customer support for B2B IPsec VPN connections
  • Strong theoretical and applied knowledge of layer 2, 3, and 4 protocols, with an emphasis on TCP, UDP, and, most importantly, IPsec
  • Proficiency with the Linux command line, basic scripting, and networking and firewalling software such as iptables or nftables, tcpdump, wireshark, netcat, etc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage B2B VPN tunnels to facilitate client connections
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability optimal connectivityMonitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability optimal connectivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address current and future network requirements, aligning solutions with business objectives
  • Create and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, troubleshooting and support procedures, and configuration guidelines
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools to improve network performance and reliability
  • Directly assist external customers encountering network connectivity issues via phone call or asynchronous communication
  • Provide network operations and troubleshooting support and guidance to internal teams
  • Assisting with additional team responsibilities where necessary
