About the job

Requirements
  • 12+ years delivering enterprise software, with demonstrated Principal-level ownership of significant initiatives; scope and outcomes carry more weight than tenure alone.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong enterprise SaaS engineering experience, including security, performance, and operational reliability.
  • Practical experience with AWS or Azure architecture, containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled software or developer productivity capabilities into production and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Practical familiarity with relevant AI approaches such as large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, or MCP; sound engineering judgment matters more than a particular framework.
  • Evidence of influencing product decisions, leading cross-team implementation, and mentoring senior contributors.
  • Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders across regions.
  • Adhere to established internal controls.
Responsibilities
  • Understand customer workflows, adoption barriers, and relevant market alternatives with Product and customer-facing teams.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations about what to improve, simplify, or avoid building.
  • Translate agreed priorities into architecture, delivery increments, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead design, coding, review, testing, and rollout of complex Java services and platform capabilities.
  • Build critical components and reference implementations.
  • Make trade-offs explicit and help teams deliver secure, maintainable software through implementation.
  • Develop AI-enabled capabilities when they offer meaningful customer value.
  • Define evaluation cases, security boundaries, human approvals where needed, failure handling, and acceptable cost and latency for AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Select conventional engineering approaches when they solve problems more reliably.
  • Improve performance, scalability, observability, security, and tenant isolation within the assigned scope.
  • Address technical debt through staged investments linked to customer or delivery impact.
  • Resolve systemic causes of production problems and improve prevention.
  • Align interfaces, dependencies, and engineering practices across participating teams.
  • Mentor senior engineers and explain decisions clearly.
  • Partner with Product on priorities, Engineering Managers on delivery capacity, and the Distinguished Engineer or CTO on company-wide architecture.
  • Document decision ownership and escalate unresolved cross-product trade-offs.
  • Within 90 days, understand the assigned product area, agree outcome measures, and identify its most consequential technical constraints.
  • Within six months, deliver agreed milestones for a substantial initiative and demonstrate improvement against its baseline.
  • Build durable capability in the team through reusable components, documented decisions, and mentoring.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce metadata, APIs, or release workflows; DevSecOps, CI/CD, data protection, or developer-tool products.
  • Experience modernizing complex enterprise platforms and working in regulated or security-sensitive settings.
  • Significant proprietary product achievements, open-source contributions, publications, or patents demonstrating technical influence.

What believers are saying

  • June 2026 Integral Zone acquisition opens regulated banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and government accounts.
  • AutoRABIT posted active 2026 hiring and roughly 308 employees, showing operating continuity.
  • Rising AI-assisted integration demand supports automated policy enforcement, audit readiness, and faster delivery.

What critics are saying

  • MuleSoft's August 2026 governance upgrades reduce AutoRABIT's differentiation inside its core buyer base.
  • Integration-heavy expansion into MuleSoft distracts from Salesforce execution and lengthens product complexity.
  • If Salesforce and MuleSoft native governance keep converging, AutoRABIT becomes a replaceable layer.

What makes AutoRABIT unique

  • AutoRABIT now spans Salesforce and MuleSoft governance after Integral Zone on June 16, 2026.
  • It sells Salesforce-specific CI/CD, static analysis, and vulnerability scanning, not generic DevOps.
  • Patrick Sweeney's 2025 CEO hire and Jason Lord's CISO hire sharpen security credibility.

AutoRABIT expands Salesforce DevSecOps platform into MuleSoft API governance with Integral Zone acquisition.

AutoRABIT expands Salesforce DevSecOps platform into MuleSoft API governance with Integral Zone acquisition. AutoRABIT, a leading DevSecOps and security platform for Salesforce development teams, today announced the acquisition of Integral Zone, a MuleSoft-focused platform that helps organizations improve API security, accelerate enterprise and AI integrations, strengthen governance, and automate integration delivery. The acquisition extends AutoRABIT's enterprise DevSecOps and governance capabilities into the MuleSoft API and integration lifecycle. As AI accelerates the pace of development and enterprises rely on Salesforce and MuleSoft to connect customer data, business workflows, and core systems, quality, security, and compliance controls must reach beyond CRM customization into the APIs and integrations that power modern businesses. The acquisition is especially aligned with enterprises in highly regulated, integration-heavy industries such as banking, financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, government, and retail, where API governance, audit readiness, policy enforcement, and operational resilience are critical to digital transformation. Integral Zone products are purpose-built for organizations using MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform that need stronger visibility, consistency, and control across distributed integration teams. The platform helps MuleSoft teams catch quality and security issues earlier through inline code scanning. Maintain API health with real-time alerts, apply coding standards consistently, and generate documentation automatically. Built for seamless integration with Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Code Builder, it gives architects and leaders unified dashboards and centralized analytics for clearer insight into project risk, asset inventory, and overall platform readiness. "MuleSoft is often the connective tissue across the enterprise, and AI-accelerated change makes that layer even more important to govern," said Patrick Sweeney, CEO of AutoRABIT. "Integral Zone gives MuleSoft teams a practical way to accelerate innovation, reduce manual review effort, improve consistency, and identify risk earlier." Integral Zone supports MuleSoft teams with capabilities including: * MuleSoft SAST/static code analysis and API quality review: Inspect projects, identify quality and new security issues, and support pre-deployment validation. * AI driven development and remediation: Support zero-code MuleSoft development through vibe coding capabilities, and connect to existing LLM environments via an MCP server to bring MuleSoft governance rules, coding standards, and quality expectations. * API governance and policy enforcement: Apply consistent rules, best practices, and policy expectations across MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform environments. * Shift-left security and pre-deployment validation: Surface quality, security, and compliance issues earlier in CI/CD and integration delivery workflows. * Monitoring, reporting, and operational visibility: Give platform owners, architects, and leaders clearer insight into project health, real time API health, operational risk indicators, governance status, and operational readiness. MuleSoft teams are under pressure to deliver integrations faster while managing growing API complexity, security, compliance, and governance demands. Manual reviews, fragmented documentation, and limited visibility can slow delivery and increase risk. Integral Zone helps organizations improve MuleSoft quality and governance earlier in development through AI-assisted project review, issue resolution, and documentation. The acquisition expands AutoRABIT's ability to help enterprises build, secure, govern, and release business-critical Salesforce and MuleSoft environments. Together, the companies help customers improve API delivery, strengthen policy enforcement, reduce manual effort, and increase audit readiness and operational visibility.
