Requirements
  • Three to five years of previous management experience in a supervisory role, with an emphasis on bottom-line profit and accountability.
  • Experience with affordable properties and programs.
  • Prior Regional Manager experience.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A high degree of organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily operations of the regional portfolio to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, counseling, and mentoring of property staff, including annual performance reviews.
  • Review and audit property administrative, accounting, and maintenance areas to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and approve exceptions.
  • Review bank deposits, monthly bonus reports, weekly activity reports, and financial aged receivable reports.
  • Deliver preliminary budgets to the Senior Regional Manager and/or Regional Vice President.
  • Oversee the annual apartment walkthrough and assist Community Directors where appropriate.
  • Review and approve semi-annual file audits.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry accreditations such as Certified Apartment Manager, Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, or Certified Property Manager are preferred.
  • A college degree is preferred.
