  • Certified Six Sigma or equivalent statistical problem-solving methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus components or circuitry for electronic equipment and devices.
  • Create, modify, sustain, and maintain software for testing; verify and improve test coverage.
  • Design and modify test fixtures to improve product quality and reduce operating costs by detecting corrective/preventive action failures as early as possible.
  • Design power supply circuits based on previously used topologies to meet specific parameters, including loop stability, magnetic design, and worst-case component analysis.
  • Understand new product release and engineering change procedures to support products during and after transition into manufacturing.
  • Participate in yield and continuous improvement actions.
  • Support product test field-failure analysis by performing simulations and evaluations, duplicating field failures, and providing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Action.
  • Support customer field-failure analysis, attend customer meetings, present failure-analysis findings and root causes, and provide effective corrective, preventive, and related actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver daily Failure Analysis work-in-progress turnarounds for production fulfillment, including Top-Level Assembly and in-source subassembly.
  • Coordinate a group of technicians and Failure Analysis output according to customer demand, and train Failure Analysis technicians to support their allocated product platform.
  • Establish and maintain Failure Analysis data pools and develop or enhance Failure Analysis guidelines to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Drive yield improvement with Production, Hybrid, Test, Process, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Quality departments; improve workmanship, test coverage, test accuracy, and supplier quality.
  • Communicate with Product Development and Engineering teams to resolve unknown or complex failures promptly.
  • Support new product introduction and new derivative part-number introductions by analyzing unknown technical issues and communicating with Product Development and Engineering teams for prompt resolution.
