- Assist in running the daily variance report.
- Determine eligibility and enroll eligible clients for Medicaid or Medicare Part D, and refer eligible clients to WIC programs.

Indiana Health Centers awarded 2026 Action Grant from Kicking The Stigma. Funds will support training for clinical staff to address mental health crises Indiana Health Centers announced today that it has been awarded a grant from Kicking The Stigma for the 2026 Action Grant cycle. This grant will enhance integrated behavioral health services across the IHC network of care by equipping both medical providers and behavioral health clinicians with evidence-informed intervention skills specifically designed for the primary care setting. "At Indiana Health Centers, we are strong believers in whole person health, which means taking care of the entire patient and considering multiple factors that contribute to their overall wellbeing," said Ann Lundy, Chief Executive Officer of Indiana Health Centers. "What this grant does is allow us to equip our staff to better identify and address behavioral health issues during the course of regular treatment. This type of integrated approach is what makes Indiana Health Centers a one-stop shop for many of our patients." The Action Grant will specifically allow IHC to provide clinicians with two training tracks: * Track A - Motivational Interviewing (MI) for medical providers, nurse managers, and case managers to strengthen their ability to identify and respond to early behavioral health and substance use concerns during routine medical visits. * Track B - Brief Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for behavioral health clinicians to help them deliver efficient, high-impact, psychologically flexible interventions within the time constraints of integrated care visits. Kicking The Stigma opens the Community Action Grant application to the public in February of each year, with the goal of supporting local Indiana nonprofits working to improve mental health services within their community. To date the program has distributed $8.3 Million to more than 70 nonprofits in Indiana and beyond. About Indiana Health Centers (IHC): IHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center that has provided high-quality, affordable, patient-centered healthcare to underserved areas of Indiana since 1977. IHC operates eleven health centers, including a mobile health unit, that offer care across the state. About Kicking The Stigma: Kicking The Stigma's focus is two-fold: raising awareness about the prevalence of mental health disorders in its communities and raising and distributing funding to nonprofits and other organizations in Indiana and beyond. To date, Kicking The Stigma and the Irsay family have committed more than $33 Million to mental health awareness organizations and research.
Ahmed Faragallah, MD joins Indiana Health Centers to offer pediatric care in Spencer and Bedford. Indiana Health Centers is excited to welcome Dr. Ahmed Faragallah, MD as a provider in its Spencer and Bedford clinics. Dr. Faragallah will be providing pediatric care. Dr. Ahmed Faragallah, MD is a dedicated pediatrician who completed his training at The Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Indiana. Dr. Faragallah provides comprehensive care for children from newborns through adolescence, including well-child visits, sick visits, vaccinations, and management of common and chronic conditions. He is passionate about helping children grow up healthy and supporting families every step of the way. With experience caring for diverse communities in both the United States and Egypt, Dr. Faragallah understands the importance of clear communication, trust, and culturally sensitive care. He takes time to listen to parents' concerns and believes in building strong, long-term relationships with families. Dr. Faragallah earned his medical degree from Benha University in Egypt and is fluent in both English and Arabic. He is known for his friendly, approachable style and for making both children and parents feel comfortable, heard, and cared for at every visit.
Megan Catt, FNP-C joins IHC Peru. Indiana Health Centers is delighted to welcome Megan Catt, FNP-C as a new provider in its Peru, Indiana clinic. Megan lives in Kokomo, Indiana, with her husband, two children, and Goldendoodle, Leia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Kokomo and Master of Science in Nursing from Ball State University. Her healthcare career includes 15 years of experience as a registered nurse in emergency medicine, followed by the past two years practicing as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department. "Throughout my career, I have been passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care and helping individuals navigate their healthcare needs during critical moments," Megan said. "I am excited to bring my experience and clinical expertise to primary care, where I look forward to building lasting relationships with patients and supporting their long-term health and wellness. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and staying active in my community."
Dr. Matthew Pazderka joins IHC to practice Family Medicine in South Bend. Indiana Health Centers is delighted to welcome Dr. Matthew Pazderka to IHC Michigan Street clinic in South Bend, Indiana. Dr. Matthew Pazderka is a Family Medicine Physician who earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his residency at the MedStar Health-Georgetown University DC Family Medicine Residency Program in Washington, D.C. He provides care for all ages with a special interest in addiction medicine and preventive health. Dr. Pazderka is passionate about helping patients overcome substance use disorders through compassionate, evidence-based care and building lasting relationships that support lifelong health. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and 3 daughters, watching Husker Football and playing baseball. Welcome to IHC Dr. Pazderka!
Dea Kent joins Indiana Health Centers. Indiana Health Centers is excited to welcome Dea Kent as a Nurse Practitioner provider in its IHC Kokomo and IHC Peru clinics. Dr. Dea Kent, DNP, RN, ANP-C, FNP-BC, CWOCN, WOCNF, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Indiana University-Indianapolis in 2015 and her Master of Science as a Nurse Practitioner from Ball State University in 2005. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1988 and brings more than 25 years of experience specializing in Internal Medicine, as well as the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence needs. In addition to working at Indiana Health Centers, Dr. Kent currently serves as the Graduate Program Director for the Master of Science in Nursing programs at Indiana University Kokomo. Her contributions to the field have been widely recognized, including receiving the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society President's Award for Innovation in 2019 for developing an algorithm to guide the selection of body-worn absorbent products. In 2025, she was honored as a Fellow of the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society. Earlier in her career, she also served in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Mississippi as part of the Eagle One Task Force, commissioned by then-Governor Mitch Daniels in 2005. A Kokomo native, Dr. Kent is deeply committed to serving communities across Central Indiana. Throughout her career, she has worked in both clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care processes and patient outcomes. She believes strongly that access to high-quality healthcare is essential for individuals to live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives. She is excited to be part of Indiana Health Centers and looks forward to supporting Hoosiers on their journey to better health. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Kent enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and has a passion for travel. One of her current goals is to visit zoos across the country, inspired by her youngest child's mission to see all the major zoos in the United States. She also loves music, cooking, laughter, and finding joy in everyday moments.
