Heritage Financial Credit Union

View

Heritage Financial Credit Union provides full-service banking to members across several counties, focusing on community growth. It operates as a not-for-profit cooperative, reinvesting earnings into members and the community rather than paying shareholders. Its products include checking, savings, loans, and online banking, all accessible to anyone who lives, works, worships, or studies in its service areas. Members’ deposits are insured by the NCUA up to $250,000. How it works: members open an account with as little as $0.01 and use standard banking services; earnings are returned through lower loan and account rates, member dividends, and community funding. How it differs: unlike for-profit banks, it reinvests profits into members and local programs, emphasizing personalized service and financial literacy. Goal: to empower financial growth for people and communities by delivering accessible banking, supporting local jobs, education, and philanthropy.
