Requirements
  • One to three years of registered nursing experience in an oncology setting is preferred.
  • Graduation from an NLN-accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • A current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
  • A current Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Ability to apply pharmacology knowledge and chemotherapy administration principles, including recognizing side effects and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Ability to use critical thinking to consider patient safety, effectiveness, and cost in care delivery.
  • Ability to coordinate with the Clinical Director to plan or modify actions that improve continuity of care and outcomes.
  • Ability to make expanded supervisory-level decisions, delegate effectively, supervise the work of other team members, and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and coordinate safe, comprehensive care for patients presenting to the Moorestown oncology multidisciplinary sites.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated time frame.
  • Provide patient care using the nursing process and the therapeutic use of self.
  • Serve as a liaison for patients and families receiving oncology treatment.
  • Assist in the development and operation of the Cooper Moorestown multidisciplinary site.
  • Participate in cross-training in other specialty areas.
Desired Qualifications
  • Oncology Nursing Society or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation certification is preferred.
