About the job
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of IT program or project management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance roles.
- Experience managing Risk Management Framework Steps 0–6, Security Technical Implementation Guide implementation, and vulnerability management.
- Demonstrated success managing cybersecurity teams and working with Department of Defense stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Navy and Department of Defense cybersecurity governance and Risk Management Framework policies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and risk management skills.
- An active Secret clearance is required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Government and the contractor team.
- Lead program execution in Risk Management Framework engineering, Security Technical Implementation Guides, compliance audits, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage project planning, cost control, schedule tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Guide and mentor a geographically distributed cybersecurity team to maintain technical excellence.
- Align cybersecurity execution with Department of Defense and Navy security policies, including National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53, Department of Defense Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01, and Naval Sea Systems Command authorization and accreditation guidelines.
- Coordinate with Information System Security Managers, Authorizing Officials, and technical leads to deliver complete and accurate Risk Management Framework packages.
- Promote continuous improvement practices and security innovation across the project lifecycle.
- A master's degree in a technical discipline.
- Project Management Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, or Certified Information Security Manager certification.
- Experience supporting Naval or Department of Defense cybersecurity programs.
- A Top Secret clearance is preferred.
