Requirements
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or groundskeeping.
- Ability to perform janitorial and basic repair tasks.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work; certifications are a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns, trim bushes, edge sidewalks, and maintain landscaping.
- Remove trash from grounds and parking areas.
- Assist with basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical tasks.
- Replace light bulbs, outlets, and switches; fix minor leaks and clogs.
- Support snow removal and special maintenance projects.
- Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and shampoo floors.
- Clean glass and exhibit cases.
- Dispose of interior trash and maintain cleanliness of public areas.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown.
- Move exhibit equipment and display materials.
- Monitor brochure inventory and hang display labels.
- Answer phones and provide basic front desk coverage.
- Report maintenance or facility concerns to museum staff.
