About the team
The remotes team at Roku is responsible for the millions of remotes our users rely on every day. Remotes are where each user’s journey begins and ends. They are used in all our Roku TV, players, and streambars products. The team continually innovates to add new technology, reduce cost, and simplify our remotes.
About the role
For California Only - The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $20 and $50 per hour.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you’ll be doing
When you work at Roku, you will be working on a platform that is used by real people. You can show off the fruits of your labor to your family and friends and see it in the electronics department of your favorite stores.
You’ll develop automated test software for our remotes. Your work will be used to test our industry leading remotes that are used by people around the world. You’ll work on a team of senior embedded software engineers and closely with our quality assurance team.
We’re excited if you have
- Excellent Python skills
- Experience with C/C++
- Experience with Gitlab build, test and automation
- Experience developing on embedded platforms
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
