Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Have 0 to 2 years of modality-specific work experience.
  • Maintain registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography (R).
  • Maintain registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or obtain it within one year in the position.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross CPR/AED certification recognized for professional rescuers and healthcare providers.
  • Perform the required physical functions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Maintain required corrected vision, hearing, depth perception, peripheral vision, tactile sensory function, and other applicable sensory capabilities.
  • Work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Work in a latex-safe environment and qualify physically for respirator use when required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Utilize available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Adhere to safety standards, infection-control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care.
  • Care for, maintain, and perform quality control on MRI equipment and work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of X-ray experience.
