About the job
- At least 10 years of programming or systems analysis experience and 3–5 years of relevant applications and systems engineering development experience involving database and middleware technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience with the Salesforce customer portal, web services, Apex, Salesforce Object Query Language, Visualforce, Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, Data Loader, reports, and dashboards.
- At least 5 years of experience working in development, interacting with clients and vendors, supporting user acceptance testing, and supporting release management across different environments.
- Working knowledge of Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, jQuery, and JavaScript Object Notation.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce objects and the Salesforce data model.
- Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and code coverage.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce standard objects and the business processes associated with them.
- Experience with custom integrations, Salesforce Sites, application programming interface calls, AppExchange application development, and package creation.
- Strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision.
- Ability to identify and apply best practices, standards, and software development lifecycle concepts across functional areas.
- Assist with the design, development, customization, and integration of Salesforce.com implementations.
- Perform day-to-day development activities, primarily focusing on custom development tasks on the Salesforce.com platform using Apex and Visualforce.
- Create, develop, and support Salesforce custom solutions and integrations.
- Work with software developers to research and correctly interpret business requirements and technical specifications for the current application version and future enhancements.
- Integration experience using web services such as SOAP and RESTful services.
- Salesforce.com developer certification.
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Maintain good working relationships with team members and customers.
