About the company

Emidat offers a SaaS platform for the construction industry to measure, manage, and report the environmental impact of building products. The service automates data collection, guides users through data processing, and visualizes results to help generate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) that cover product lifecycles. The platform differentiates itself by providing end-to-end lifecycle data handling and clear visualization for easier reporting, with additional consulting services available to help clients interpret and apply the data. The goal is to help construction firms comply with environmental regulations and improve their sustainability profiles by turning complex lifecycle data into actionable insights.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Emidat raised €4 million in 2024 from General Catalyst for product and sales.
  • Three large concrete manufacturers and 25 customers validate demand across 350 projects.
  • EU CPR became applicable January 8, 2026, forcing manufacturers to build compliant data systems.

What critics are saying

  • One Click LCA dominates manufacturer LCA and EPD software, compressing Emidat pricing.
  • CPR and ESPR deadlines phase through 2028-2032, stretching customer urgency after pilots.
  • If registry standards commoditize DPP generation, Emidat becomes a feature, not a company.

What makes Emidat unique

  • Emidat pairs EPD creation with Digital Product Passports for construction materials.
  • Its 2026 platform adds machine-readable DPPs and role-based access, beyond basic LCA software.
  • CSC sponsor status on July 1, 2026 anchors Emidat inside certification workflows.
