Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hospitality, property management, and/or management.
  • At least 2 years of experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair, including HVAC systems, radiant heating systems, and boiler systems.
  • Working knowledge of audio/visual systems, electrical systems, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair.
  • Proficiency with cell phones and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and remain active for up to 85% of the workday.
  • Ability to shovel snow when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, peak-period night shifts from November through April, and on-call duties.
  • A valid driver's license, a good driving record, and at least 3 years of driving experience for operating a company vehicle.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including a five-panel non-THC drug test and background screening.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and maintain core home systems, including HVAC, pool service, locks, septic systems, plumbing, electrical systems, radiant heating, and mechanical systems, as well as perform basic interior and exterior repairs such as painting, drywall repair, and basic construction.
  • Move equipment, appliances, and furniture; service hot tubs; remove items for disposal; maintain lawns, walkways, and driveways; remove snow and leaves; pick up trash; and assist housekeeping when needed.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test systems, and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance in homes and properties.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform maintenance and arrival audits before owner or guest arrivals and departure audits after owner or guest departures.
  • Maintain detailed service records for all units according to the daily timesheet.
  • Communicate the completion and progress of assigned work orders.
  • Perform maintenance assigned by management, including audio/visual, electrical, basic plumbing, mechanical, and appliance repairs.
  • Participate in snow and ice removal around managed properties and the office as needed.
  • Track and maintain assigned tool inventory.
  • Monitor, track, and report credit-card and purchase-account usage.
  • Record billable items and hours for billing guests and owners on work orders.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call phone rotation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, audio/visual, and appliance repair.
  • HVAC certification.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
