Requirements
  • MBA with specialization in Marketing (tier I/ II institute)
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Marketing with at least 5 years’ experience of working with lifestyle brand/category
  • Proven record in translating consumer and customer insight into effective growth drivers
  • Has an eye for design thinking and creative excellence
  • Define and maintain brands positioning, ensuring alignment with the target consumer
  • Brilliantly executes with immense attention to detail
  • Develop accurate projects priorities, schedules and execution of marketing campaigns

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate deep personal accountability to consistently delivering great performance
  • Demonstrates depth & rigor in the quality of work and brilliance in execution
  • Lead the development, selection, and deployment of all growth drivers as a part of MBP planning backed with clear ROIs and learning plans with special emphasis on big thematic campaigns
  • Ensure flawless execution of growth drivers in collaboration with central customer marketing
  • Lead all brand performance discussion in internal review meetings and influence clusters (BPMs, SNOP etc)
  • Lead the brand influencer and advocacy plan development and execution in partnership with the I&A team
  • Responsible for development of brand architecture, advertising architecture, packaging architecture and brand out innovation approach in consultation with the innovation team
  • Responsible for relationship management with RCB Team

Global spirits giants sit on $22B unsold inventory amid demand slowdown

Major spirits companies are grappling with a $22 billion inventory glut, the largest in a decade, according to the Financial Times. Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Campari, Brown-Forman and Remy Cointreau are sitting on unprecedented amounts of unsold aged spirits, including whisky, Cognac, tequila and rum. The surplus stems from pandemic-era over-production when home consumption surged. However, consumer demand has since declined due to health concerns and shifts towards THC beverages. Companies have responded by pausing production at distilleries, reducing workforces and closing facilities. Cognac faces particularly severe challenges, with slowing exports and trade issues with China forcing price cuts. Even tequila, which recently outsold American whiskey in the US, is experiencing slowdown. Industry analysts warn that production cuts risk future shortages if demand rebounds unexpectedly.

Diageo North America has acquired Ritual Zero Proof Non-Alcoholic Spirits, the leading non-alc spirit brand in the U.S. since its 2019 launch.
