Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a retail banking or credit union environment is required.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory, team leadership, or employee coaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop employees, manage performance, and coach sales and service behaviors.
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, account opening procedures, consumer lending, referrals, branch operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate employees across multiple branch locations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and branch operating systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned branch locations.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily, including communicating face to face or through technology, sitting and standing for varying periods, lifting or pushing up to 10 pounds, and performing clerical office duties using technology.
  • Compliance with all applicable requirements under the SAFE Act and the credit union's related policies and procedures for positions with lending responsibilities.
  • Maintain current NMLS registration related to the SAFE Act and notify the credit union within 30 days of changes requiring updates to the NMLS registry.
Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise Universal Banker I and Universal Banker II employees within an assigned branch cluster.
  • Establish performance expectations and conduct regular coaching and development discussions.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, observations, performance reviews, development planning sessions, and recognition activities.
  • Address performance concerns through coaching, counseling, and corrective action in accordance with credit union policies.
  • Partner with the Area Service Manager to identify and develop high-potential employees and support succession planning.
  • Support onboarding, training, and integration of newly hired employees.
  • Coordinate employee schedules and daily staffing coverage across assigned branches.
  • Approve attendance, time-off requests, and schedule adjustments within established guidelines.
  • Monitor staffing levels and communicate resource needs and workforce challenges to the Area Service Manager.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and candidate-selection processes.
  • Coordinate employee deployment between branch locations to address temporary staffing shortages, planned absences, training needs, and business demands.
  • Travel regularly among assigned branch locations to provide leadership support based on branch needs.
  • Promote consistent delivery of the credit union's service standards across assigned branches.
  • Coach employees on member engagement, relationship-building techniques, consultative conversations, and service recovery practices.
  • Assist with escalated member concerns and support timely resolution of service issues.
  • Monitor member feedback and identify coaching opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain individual production goals and engage members to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Open accounts, support lending conversations, generate referrals, and participate in member relationship-building activities.
  • Coach employees on member interactions, referral generation, follow-up activities, and relationship development.
  • Use reports and performance data to identify coaching opportunities and employee-development needs.
  • Lead by example through personal productivity, service excellence, and member engagement.
  • Support consistent execution of branch operating procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor operational exceptions, training completion, audit findings, and branch readiness activities.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and follow-up activities related to operational issues.
  • Reinforce compliance with security procedures, fraud prevention practices, cash-handling standards, and member-information protection requirements.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks and concerns to the Area Service Manager.
  • Ensure employees maintain operational proficiency and complete required training.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout assigned branch locations.
  • Establish a branch visitation schedule that provides consistent employee support across the assigned cluster.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day employee leadership resource within assigned branches.
  • Support branch operations during periods of high member demand, staffing shortages, training activities, or operational disruption.
  • Perform Universal Banker responsibilities as needed to maintain service continuity and support member needs.

Reset raises $6M seed funding from credit union customers to expand earned wage access platform

Reset, an earned wage access platform for credit unions and community banks, has raised $6 million in seed funding, bringing total capital raised to over $8 million. More than two-thirds of the round came from credit union customers, including Georgia's Own Credit Union, InTouch Credit Union, Chartway Credit Union, VyStar Credit Union and One Washington Financial. The platform embeds into financial institutions' technology stacks, allowing members to access earned wages daily through a credit union-issued card. Reset cardholders show a 27% increase in deposits, maintain checking balances 36% higher than previous levels and generate 20% more credit interchange revenue for their institutions. The company will use the funding to expand sales capacity, deepen product development and accelerate deployments. Reset was recently named to Filene Research Institute's FiLab programme and is piloting with six credit unions representing 1.2 million members.

Georgia's Own and InTouch credit unions invest $1.25M in Provision IAM's identity management platform

Provision IAM, a provider of identity and access management platforms for credit unions and community financial institutions, has secured strategic investments from two credit unions. Georgia's Own Holdings invested $1 million, whilst InTouch Credit Union invested $250,000. Representatives from both credit unions will join Provision IAM's newly established Customer Advisory Board, with Georgia's Own also participating at board level. The investments reflect growing industry focus on identity governance, audit readiness and compliance automation as operational priorities. Georgia's Own Credit Union was already using Provision IAM's platform before investing. The company's SaaS-based platform automates policy management, audit reporting and access reviews for financial institutions. Provision IAM currently supports over 50 financial institutions nationwide and is engaging with additional credit unions for its advisory board.

Jack Henry Adds Ai-Based Fraud Detection To Digital Payments Platform

Jack Henry has launched a real-time, artificial intelligence (AI)-based fraud mitigation feature. The new Payrailz Fraud Monitor, which joins the FinTech company’s Payrailz Digital Payments Platform, supports multiple payment types and detects fraud when payment transactions are initiated, Jack Henry said in a Tuesday (June 20) press release. “We’re excited to offer Fraud Monitor to our clients and empower them with a sophisticated, AI-driven feature that scores 100% of P2P [person-to-person], A2A [account-to-account] and bill payments in real time,” Jack Henry President of Payment Solutions Tede Forman said in the release. “The ability to leverage transaction attributes, user profiles and atypical behavior patterns uniquely balances the ability to immediately detect and prevent fraudulent transactions with a frictionless payments experience.”
