Responsibilities
  • Develop application strategy in support of short- and long-term business plans as well as application implications and software development requirements.
  • Participate in the development of company business system architecture plans and review cost and feasibility of system requests while ensuring the plan supports the strategic needs of the company.
  • May develop programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of programming languages and designing, coding, testing etc.
  • Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
  • Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. Viewed as a technical expert and critical technical resource.
  • Typically lead complex projects and participate in larger initiatives. Solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Act as a resource for teammates with less experience. May oversee workflow and provide coaching and training for a small team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of one or more of technologies such as: JEE, JAVA Beans, JavaScript, Web Services, SOAP Mobile, WebSphere technologies, Microsoft Technologies such as NET (e.g., VB .Net, C#, or C++, ASP.Net). Database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and proficiency in PL/SQL.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-based applications on AWS using microservices, containers (e.g. Kubernates, Docker), and serverless architectures.
  • Solid working knowledge of UML and design tools.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
