- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
- One to three years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification and first-aid certification.
- Understanding of basic patient care, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Knowledge of assisting patients with activities of daily living and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Familiarity with common medical terms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance.
- Willingness to travel to provide services.
- Provide direct support and high-quality direct patient care to adults with developmental disabilities in the community.
- Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Assist patients with eating and ensure they remain hydrated.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transfers between chairs and wheelchairs.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the direct supervisor.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of daily activities.
- Ensure healthcare practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for participants.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated approach to providing high-quality support.
