Requirements
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing plant leadership experience as a Production Manager, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Operations Engineer, Industrial Engineer or similar roles in a consumer product manufacturing facility.
  • Significant experience with CI tools like Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and other engagement and process improvement techniques.
  • A four-year degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Applicable academic and/or professional experience in food science, engineering, or general business.
  • Great analytical abilities to understand complex manufacturing systems.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule to support a 24/7 operation on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement CI work processes at a site-wide level, including Kaizen, productivity cycles, RCA, and more.
  • Use your Lean Six Sigma expertise to coach and facilitate activities that eliminate complex losses and achieve productivity targets.
  • Ensure CI work processes are delivering results consistently and effectively.
  • Oversee the automatic data collection system and train the team on its use and functionality.
  • Analyze and reduce planned and unplanned losses, focusing on TEEP and OEE metrics.
  • Own the Reliability Improvement Plan Work Process, coaching others to analyze data and trends.
  • Work with other function leaders to help them achieve their zero loss objectives.
  • Lead internal and external benchmarking and replication activities.
  • Collaborate with facility operations and corporate leaders to drive Lean/CI initiatives.
  • Maintain and communicate metrics that record successes and track progress.
  • Support capital improvement and other engineering projects related to continuous improvement.
