CB Insights integrates private market intelligence into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Excel. Quick summary. CB Insights has launched an official Microsoft connector, integrating its private market intelligence directly into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Excel. This allows enterprise users to query real-time data on private companies, funding, and emerging trends using natural language within their existing AI-powered productivity workflows. How does CB Insights enhance Microsoft 365 Copilot? Private market intelligence is now accessible via a single, governed interface within the Microsoft ecosystem. By utilizing the Model Context Protocol (MCP), CB Insights provides live, query-time data that eliminates the need for manual data stitching. This integration allows strategy and investment teams to perform real-time market monitoring without leaving their primary workspace. * Natural language queries for complex private company data. * Live data retrieval ensuring responses reflect the latest market signals. * Structured LLM consumption for accurate AI-generated insights. What capabilities does the Copilot in Excel integration provide? The integration transforms how financial analysts interact with private market intelligence by bringing proprietary data directly into spreadsheets. Users can now automate market landscape analysis and company screening, significantly reducing the time spent on manual research. This workflow acceleration is critical for deal-making and partnerships where speed is a competitive advantage. * Automated data population for financial modeling and reporting. * Competitive monitoring tools integrated directly into Excel sheets. * Innovation scouting features to identify emerging technology trends. "With this connector, clients can ask questions in natural language, retrieve CB Insights data live at query time, and bring relevant company and market intelligence into Excel without switching tools or stitching together data from multiple systems," said Karl Kong, CEO at CB Insights. How can enterprises access this new integration? Enterprises can deploy this solution through a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model. This ensures that existing CB Insights customers can immediately activate the Microsoft 365 connector using their current credentials. By bridging the gap between proprietary research platforms and daily productivity tools, the partnership aims to democratize access to high-value data across larger corporate teams. Ff news take: This move by CB Insights is a significant play in the generative AI arms race. By embedding private market intelligence directly into Microsoft 365, they are moving from being a destination site to a foundational data layer for enterprise AI. For fintech professionals and investors, this reduces friction in the investment research cycle, effectively making high-fidelity private data as accessible as a standard Google search. It definitely moves the needle for workflow efficiency. Featured speakers.

The partnership launches with Glean for Financial Services, addressing the challenge of accessing both internal and external data within AI workflows. Users can now answer questions about private companies, market evolution and competitive landscapes without switching between tools. CB Insights and Glean partner to bring private company intelligence into enterprise AI workflows. June 16, 2026, 16:15 GMT CB Insights data is now available across Glean's Work AI platform, helping teams combine trusted external market intelligence with internal company knowledge NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, June 16, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - CB Insights, the leader in predictive intelligence on private companies, today announced a partnership with enterprise AI leader Glean to make CB Insights' validated private company data and market intelligence available across Glean's AI platform. Through the integration, teams using Glean can access CB Insights' proprietary data on private companies, funding activity, market trends, competitive landscapes, Mosaic(TM) scores, and analyst research directly within their AI workflows. This allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive answers that combine Glean's internal company knowledge with CB Insights' trusted external market data. The partnership begins with the launch of Glean for Financial Services, which addresses a growing challenge for financial institutions: AI tools are only as useful as the information they can access. Glean helps organizations securely use their internal data, documents, and knowledge. CB Insights adds an additional external layer: validated information on private companies, investors, markets, and emerging technology trends. "Companies are increasingly using AI to make faster decisions, but the quality of those decisions depends on the quality of the data behind them," said Karl Kong, CEO of CB Insights. "Glean brings together the internal knowledge teams rely on every day. CB Insights complements that with trusted external data on private companies, markets, and technologies. Together, we're helping customers get better answers, faster, in the workflows where they already live." With CB Insights available in Glean, investors can more easily answer questions such as which private companies are gaining traction in a market, how a sector is evolving, where funding is flowing, and which competitors or partners may be worth watching. Instead of switching between tools, teams can bring CB Insights' external intelligence into the same AI workspace they use to search and analyze internal information. "CB Insights is a leader in private company intelligence, and trusted by the largest financial institutions in the world, including many clients we share," said Zubin Irani, VP of Partnerships, Glean. "By making CB Insights available across Glean's enterprise AI platform, our customers can combine deep external market intelligence with their own internal context to accomplish meaningful work and make better decisions." The two platforms use model context protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI with data sources. This reflects CB Insights' continued focus on making its data available where customers already work. By integrating CB Insights' validated external intelligence with Glean's enterprise AI platform, organizations can bring stronger context to research, strategy, diligence, business development, and other high-value workflows. CEO interview: Kubegrade. CB Insights ask senior leaders about what differentiates their market, where it's heading, and how they win. * May 19, 2026 Tim Grassin, CEO of Kubegrade, tells CB Insights how they view the market, customer needs, and their company. How do you define your market and where does your company fit into that space? So essentially, Kubegrade operates in a relatively large market, which is the Kubernetes space, currently adopted by roughly 90% of enterprises, employing over $12B worth of labor of Kubernetes engineers to maintain it. And its product appears in the day 2 operations stack, meaning CB Insights is competing with either observability tools or UI tools to detect issues within the Kubernetes cluster. However, while there are a variety of tools and teams building internal scripts, the gap that CB Insights identified was that most of these teams and tools are very good at detecting issues, but there's no automation for fixing them. So once you've detected them, there's a manual process in identifying the root cause of the issue and then resolving it. Whereas Kubegrade positions itself as a tool that not only detects issues by connecting directly within the cluster, but also connects with infrastructure-as-code, built within your GitOps. And once it's identified the issue, it automatically remediates it by generating pull requests. In this way, CB Insights bridge the gap between observability and remediation. CB Insights often compete with internal teams, so there is a lot of human labor, and organizations often characterize the work that CB Insights solve as toil. CB Insights do have some close competitors, such as Komodor, who will detect the issues relatively well and then have some form of remediation. But as a built-in remediation tool that automatically generates pull requests, avoiding as much human intervention as possible while maintaining very high guardrails and ensuring that there's always a human in the loop, I think Kubegrade does it best.
