Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • At least 1 year of construction engineering experience is required.
  • Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and project standards is required.
  • The ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate effectively with others is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm that all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
  • Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
  • Provide technical input for the project work plan and scheduling, and identify production, materials, equipment, or process risks that could negatively affect the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance accurately, and document daily activities using company-approved methods and technologies.
  • Submit accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported, and manage cost coding with company finance and accounting teams for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
  • Review and approve daily timecards for company construction crews, and work with the Office Manager, payroll, and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries as needed.
  • Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during project work, and after work is completed, and initiate and manage certificates, inspections, and other construction-production documentation on the project site.
  • Work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensure utilities and commercial lines are marked before production begins, and initiate and manage permits needed before work can begin.
  • Assist with developing design drawings and provide technical input as needed.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management is preferred.
