Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Experience in a Solutions Engineering, PreSales or similar customer-facing technical role with a SaaS or Software Product company
  • Strong coding and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Experience working with Linux, Windows, and macOS environments
  • Familiarity with Android and/or iOS application development
  • Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, and mobile build processes
  • An interest in mobile application security and cybersecurity concepts
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts confidently to developers, architects, and business stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
  • US citizenship or permanent residency is required
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US at the time of application and the company cannot sponsor visas or work permits
Responsibilities
  • Support the Sales team during sales processes, demo’s, customer meetings, events and Proof of Concepts
  • Guide prospects and customers through onboarding and implementation processes
  • Help customers optimize their product setup and configuration to maximize value from our solutions
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey
  • Assist with technical support and configuration-related questions in collaboration with Support and Engineering teams
  • Deliver product demos and technical presentations to both technical and executive audiences
  • Provide valuable feedback from customers and prospects back to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in mobile security, reverse engineering, and application protection technologies
  • Collaborate with international teams across different regions and time zones
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within cybersecurity or application security
  • Familiarity with our products (ProGuard, DexGuard, iXGuard, …)
  • Experience with reverse engineering and commonly used tooling
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in industries such as banking, FSI, or fintech
  • Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus

Guardsquare acquires Verimatrix's XTD division for $8.5M, adds 60 clients including major banks

Leuven-based Guardsquare has acquired Verimatrix's XTD (Extended Threat Defense) division for $8.5 million in its first major acquisition. XTD, founded in 2021 by cybersecurity experts, protects mobile, web and desktop applications against cyber threats by predicting, detecting and combating risks before they affect apps. The acquisition brings Guardsquare 60 new customers, predominantly tier 1 and 2 companies in media and financial sectors, including Crédit Agricole and Deutsche Bank. CEO Roel Caers said the deal expands Guardsquare's presence into four new countries: Scotland, the Netherlands, Finland and Hungary. The French cybersecurity company Verimatrix, listed on the Paris stock exchange, sold the division to its Leuven-based competitor.
