Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Four to six years of prior experience directly and indirectly leading medium-sized teams is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a Property and Casualty Commercial Service Team and ensure the team meets or exceeds servicing objectives, demonstrates customer service competencies, and supports strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute servicing and efficiency strategies and achieve strategic objectives and financial goals.
  • Manage staff by planning and evaluating department activities; recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, communicating expectations, monitoring and appraising results, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and enforcing policies and productivity standards.
  • Direct team members, including coaching and motivating them.
  • Provide technical service and underwriting guidance to service team members, including approving activities outside the service team's authority.
  • Work closely with staff to provide coordinated support to customers and field staff.
  • Service policies up to a predetermined amount when needed.
  • Provide overall leadership to teams and day-to-day leadership to team leaders.
  • Coach the team to identify inquiries beyond its authority and take appropriate action.
  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, processes, and federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Set performance goals and standards linked to business goals, monitor progress using appropriate measurement methods, and hold team members accountable for completing assignments and tasks.
  • Provide ongoing performance dialogue to the team.
  • Coach team members and help establish individual development and career plans.
  • Coordinate with the Learning Consultant on career development opportunities.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance reviews are completed for team members and review results to assess progress.
  • Ensure team compliance with company processes and federal and state regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate Quality Assurance and metrics reports for each team and identify trends and improvement opportunities related to service levels and quality targets.
  • Communicate performance indicators regularly to team leaders.
  • Prepare employee performance appraisals and merit pay recommendations.
  • Investigate and resolve customer, team, and departmental issues as required.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of TruStage and its products.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by leadership.
  • Identify and approve process-change recommendations to improve the customer experience.
  • Provide guidance and direction on issues requiring exceptions to normal procedures.
  • Coordinate with Claims, Product Administration, Product, and Sales departments to meet performance targets and provide assistance as needed.
  • Inform team leaders and members about changes, potential changes, and other pertinent information affecting departmental areas.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct meetings about operational procedures.
  • Support dissemination of corporate-wide and center-specific communications on-site.
  • Promote and maintain a positive, professional image of TruStage.
Desired Qualifications
  • Applicable underwriting professional designations are highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with project management methodology is strongly preferred.
  • Strong preference for 5+ years of Commercial Property and Casualty experience.

Tangenesis launches TruStage payment protection integration for Temenos with real-time quotes

Tangenesis has launched Version 3.0 of its TruStage Payment Protection Integration for Temenos Virtual Capture, enabling real-time insurance quoting and instant purchasing within the Temenos platform. The integration is designed for credit unions using Temenos and its Virtual Capture solution. The new version allows credit union members to receive real-time quotes for TruStage lending insurance products and complete purchases instantly through a digital interface. The system uses API-driven connectivity to automate workflows and reduce operational overhead. According to TruStage research, 80% of borrowing consumers would likely opt for payment protection products, but fewer than half recall being offered them. The integration embeds these options directly into the loan process. Version 3.0 is immediately available to Temenos clients using Tangenesis Virtual Capture.

TruStage generates $6.1B revenue, becomes fourth largest US life insurer by policy count

TruStage reported strong 2025 financial performance with over $6.1 billion in revenue, $312 million in net income and $36.1 billion in assets under management. The insurance and financial services provider maintained strong ratings from AM Best (A), S&P (A+) and Moody's (A2). The company paid over $2.6 billion in total benefits across 42 million consumers and became the fourth largest life insurance provider in the US by policy count. TruStage Ventures expanded to 67 portfolio companies with over $400 million in total investment. The TruStage Foundation invested $3.9 million in communities through more than 100 non-profits, whilst employees registered 8,600 volunteer hours and raised $640,000 for charitable organisations. The company has been named to Forbes' Best Insurance Companies list for four consecutive years.

TruStage Compliance Solutions has launched Compliance Hub Alerts, a regulatory tracking tool that monitors over 18,000 legal citations across state and federal levels, agency rules, case law and regulatory guidance. The web-based application automatically notifies compliance officers of regulatory changes affecting their operations. The platform uses customisable filters to deliver tailored alerts and allows users to assign specific changes to team members. Each alert includes a summary of the update, potential impact, legal references and implementation guidance. A centralised dashboard provides visibility into tracked legislation and generates audit reports. Compliance Hub Alerts covers all 50 US states, Washington DC and federal bodies including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve, FDIC, IRS and NCUA. The tool aims to automate previously manual compliance monitoring processes for financial institutions.
