Varonis recognized as a Pace Setter in the Gartner(R) Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security - Established Vendors.

Varonis recognized as a Pace Setter in the Gartner(R) Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security - Established Vendors. A new Gartner market report takes shape as enterprises work to secure the new AI stack. MIAMI, Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Varonis Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRNS), the data and AI security leader, today announced it has been recognized as a Pace Setter in the Gartner(R) Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security - Established Vendors as of September 2026. The report evaluates vendors on their potential to execute and potential for Market Disruption. Gartner defines the AI application security market as technologies that protect enterprise-developed AI applications and agents by combining security testing, exposure management, and runtime defense to detect, alert on, or block threats. Delivered via SaaS or on-premises technologies, these tools enable cybersecurity and risk teams to manage posture, conduct adversarial testing, and enforce real-time protection of AI applications. "The more data an AI system can reach, the more valuable and riskier it becomes," said Rob Sobers, CMO at Varonis. "At Varonis, we've built the trust layer that helps organizations to securely connect any AI system to any data source." As companies deploy AI applications at scale, these systems are no longer limited to analyzing data: they read, write, modify, and act on it at machine speed. This shift introduces a new class of risk. Without knowing which systems exist, what they're doing, or what data they can reach, organizations can't safely use AI at scale. By integrating AI application visibility and enforcement with the leading Data Security Platform, Varonis gives organizations a way to adopt AI while working to keep risk under control. Varonis launches Data Lifecycle Management to automate cleanup of redundant data and boost AI security revenue

Varonis Systems launched Varonis Data Lifecycle Management, a capability that automatically identifies and removes redundant, obsolete, and trivial data across enterprise environments. The tool connects data cleanup to sensitivity, access, and activity context, aiming to reduce storage waste, improve AI output quality, and help organisations address compliance issues. The new feature builds on Varonis Atlas, the AI security platform that became generally available in March 2026. Together, these products expand Varonis' role from protecting unstructured data to governing how data is stored, used, and cleaned across cloud and AI partnerships. Despite product momentum, investors face near-term risks around execution in the SaaS transition and pressure on margins. Analysts project revenue of $1.1 billion by 2029, though some warn that on-premises churn could limit growth.

Varonis Systems, Inc. launches Varonis Data Lifecycle Management. Published on 09/15/2026 at 12:20 pm EDT S&P Capital IQ Varonis Systems, Inc. launched Varonis Data Lifecycle Management, a new capability that automatically finds and removes redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data across a company's data estate. Up to 30% of enterprise data is ROT, and it?s expensive in more ways than one. Unnecessary data leads to higher storage bills, noise in AI outputs, and a wider attack surface. When sensitive data is scattered across cloud platforms, warehouses, and forgotten corners of the environment, it can also lead to audit findings and fines under regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Managing storage is table stakes. The harder problem is knowing what?s safe to delete automatically, which requires accurate classification, access context, and activity monitoring. Varonis DLM is built on the Varonis Data Security Platform, so it understands what data is sensitive, who can access it, and how it?s being used? giving you the context to remove ROT data with confidence. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management shows all ROT data in one place. A single dashboard displays total ROT volume, duplicate clusters, stale files and folders, and data that's past its retention window, filterable by data source, sensitivity, topic, and owner. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management gives every duplicate full context. Drill into any duplicate group to see the original, the most recent copy, where else it lives, and whether it's sensitive, overexposed, or expired. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management catches what classification tools miss. Varonis DLM finds ROT data hiding beyond text-based documents, surfacing data in media files, installers, DLLs, and archives. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management turns policy into action. Out-of-the-box, fully configurable policies map classification categories to legal retention windows, then automatically quarantine data that violates them. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management never deletes without a safety net. Every action is reversible, and companies choose which copy to keep before anything moves. Varonis Data Lifecycle Management is available now. Companies can schedule a free Varonis Data Risk Assessment to see how much ROT data is hiding in their environment and how much they could potentially save. (C) S&P Capital IQ - 2026
