Requirements
  • An Arizona registered nurse license that is active and unrestricted, or a valid participating compact license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Registered nurses hired on or after July 1, 2016 must graduate from a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program within six years of hire into an RN position.
  • Understanding of computers and competence using computers and basic software programs.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care for patients and their families, including direct care, patient and family education, and discharge planning.
  • Assess patient needs and conditions by gathering relevant health information.
  • Identify outcomes, develop individualized plans of care, and implement interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Assess patient progress and revise or update diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as appropriate.
  • Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while treating patients, families, guests, and associates with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Evaluate patient conditions frequently and adapt plans of care appropriately.
  • Perform aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile field using disinfection, sterilization, and infection-control principles.
  • Maintain infection-prevention standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with procedures and patient transportation throughout the hospital in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
  • Engage in personal development and professional interactions with peers and students.
  • Participate in ongoing in-service training and educational seminars.
  • Mentor and educate colleagues and students.
  • Adhere to regulatory, organizational, hospital, and departmental standards and policies affecting patient care and safety.
  • Maintain current compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies relevant to the role.
  • Keep required certifications and licenses current and valid before their expiration dates.
  • Complete mandatory company modules and job-specific training within the specified time frame.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, electronic medical record entries, and patient responses.
  • Report safety-related incidents promptly through the Midas/RDE tool, attend safety training, perform work safely, and monitor the work environment for safety issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room certification.
