Prison officers make a difference by having a positive impact on other people’s lives. They serve the community through their work to support prisoner rehabilitation and in addition, they keep staff and people in custody safe and secure. As a prison officer, you’ll be part of the team helping to make the community safer for everyone.
Prison officers come from a wide range of backgrounds; all life experiences are highly valued. The recruitment process will give you opportunity to demonstrate the skills and abilities you already possess that have the potential to make you a good prison officer.
