Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability and willingness to extract and process data from various sources and identify data integrity and quality issues are required.
  • The ability to use data to support operations and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is required.
  • Understanding of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act parameters and data integrity is required.
  • The ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to improving data collection methods, study design, survey administration, measurement instruments, and data management processes.
  • Perform data quality assurance by validating datasets for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity, and identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, including data codebooks, metadata, and documentation of data collection procedures.
  • Execute and monitor established data workflows, including running existing Python, R, SQL, and other automated scripts that support recurring data projects.
  • Process, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
  • Assist with data analysis, interpretation, and reporting to support institutional planning, assessment, program evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Collaborate with staff across multiple offices to collect, manage, and coordinate data for various projects.
  • Coordinate project timelines across multiple offices to ensure project milestones and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Communicate technical and quantitative concepts to a broad, non-technical audience, including senior management.
  • Train and provide technical support and thought partnership to colleagues.
  • Work independently and as part of a team while contributing to multiple projects concurrently.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in building and managing dashboards and reports is preferred.
  • Data visualization skills and the ability to tell a story with data are preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn data governance and analysis skills is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, R, Python, and SQL is preferred.
