  • The role requires 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • The candidate must hold a Georgia Professional Engineer license or be able to become registered within 6 months.
  • The candidate must demonstrate technical proficiency in hydraulics and applicable industry standards.
  • The candidate must be able to lead, motivate, and manage a project team and oversee high-quality work.
  • The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as senior project manager for water and sewer distribution and collection system piping, pump stations, and treatment plant projects.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using earned value management principles.
  • Supervise multidisciplinary teams of engineers, engineering technicians, Geographic Information Systems analysts, designers, computer-aided design staff, and sub-consultants; coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality.
  • Design and review others' calculations and seal drawings and reports.
  • Work independently and mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, client staff, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
  • Participate in business development activities, including engineering scope and fee preparation, proposal preparation, and marketing activities, while supporting internal and external client service.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in design-build and collaborative project delivery is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management is preferred.
