Requirements
  • Completion of 30-day initial classroom and field training and earning a minimum of two continuing education units annually.
  • Ability to use a 32-foot ladder.
  • Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate basic math.
  • Valid driver's license and age of at least 18.
  • Successful completion of a seven-year criminal background check.
  • Successful completion of substance abuse testing.
  • Successful completion of a three-year motor vehicle report and compliance with the insurance carrier's minimum eligibility requirements.
  • Availability to work two Saturdays per month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain service schedules for all customers on the assigned route and call customers before service.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot termite Sentricon systems and wildlife traps as needed, using sound pest-control strategies to maintain a pest-free environment.
  • Use an auger to drill holes in the ground for Sentricon stations and dig trenches for liquid termite applications when applicable.
  • Install wildlife and pest traps; apply caulk and other supplies to fill gaps or holes in house structures; perform spray insulation installation; use a respirator and other construction methods to resolve issues.
  • Perform moisture and vapor-barrier work in crawl spaces where services are offered.
  • Provide liquid treatment for bed bugs and/or heat-treatment applications.
  • Communicate with customers before, during, and after service delivery to assess and meet their needs.
  • Monitor infestation and rodent areas and pest-application methods, including baits and traps, after application, and communicate progress to customers and operations managers.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with sales staff to meet client expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs.
  • Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly manner.
  • Maintain the assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean and good working condition.
  • Follow all driving laws and company policies when operating company vehicles.
  • Participate in collection efforts.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned.
