Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years industry experience developing customer-shippable life science instrumentation or comparable products
  • Experience as a technical/engineering lead on multiple projects
  • Solid understanding of electrical design best practices
  • Familiar with EDA software such as OrCAD or Altium
  • Comfortable developing cable and wire harness designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Self-awareness, integrity, authenticity, and a growth/entrepreneurial mindset
Responsibilities
  • Create, modify and update schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts for new products
  • Participate in architecture design and provide input on system requirements
  • Drive the selection and design of custom and prefabricated cables and wire harnesses
  • Participate in and run technical design reviews
  • Design test plans, test fixtures and test procedures for electrical and mechanical assemblies
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Provide hands-on support for basic assembly and troubleshooting during prototyping
  • Participate in project planning and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Follow company processes for engineering change orders and quality documentation
