About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience in a highly analytical role.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in lifecycle, customer relationship management, or retention marketing.
  • A proven track record of owning lifecycle revenue, lifetime value, or retention metrics—not just campaign execution.
  • Direct-to-consumer experience, ideally at brands with $50 million or more in revenue.
  • Strong experience with subscription-based or repeat-purchase businesses.
  • Deep experience building lifecycle strategy from the ground up, rather than only optimizing existing programs.
  • Experience with tools such as Klaviyo, Attentive, and similar platforms.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A highly analytical approach and deep understanding of customer behavior, retention, and lifetime value dynamics.
  • Ability to connect lifecycle to product, customer experience, pricing, and broader business drivers.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels.
  • Detail orientation and high standards for quality and rigor.
  • A scrappy, pragmatic approach focused on measurable impact.
  • An ownership mindset that treats lifecycle as a business within the business.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
  • Own lifecycle as a core revenue channel, with accountability for repeat purchase rate, lifetime value, contribution margin, revenue per subscriber, and retention performance; partner with Growth and eCommerce across lifecycle touchpoints, including lead conversion for new customers.
  • Develop and own a cohesive lifecycle strategy across onboarding, retention, and reactivation, aligned with company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Define and optimize the end-to-end customer journey from first purchase to repeat customer to subscriber, improving time to second purchase, product adoption, and long-term retention.
  • Lead subscription growth as a core lever by improving attach rate, retention, and lifetime value through on-site conversion, post-purchase upsell, and ongoing engagement.
  • Partner with Growth and eCommerce to define and optimize pricing communication, discounts, bundles, upsell and cross-sell, and incentives, balancing conversion, average order value, contribution margin, and brand perception.
  • Oversee lifecycle flows, including welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, and winback, and own the campaign calendar across product launches and key commercial moments.
  • Build and lead a testing roadmap across lifecycle channels to improve conversion, average order value, revenue per send, and long-term customer value.
  • Own lifecycle platforms including Klaviyo, Attentive, and PostPilot, ensuring best practices in segmentation, deliverability, automation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing lifecycle team, with the opportunity to hire and manage a direct report; partner with Growth, eCommerce, Product, Customer Experience, and Creative to integrate lifecycle into go-to-market and the broader marketing calendar.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with direct mail as a performance channel.

Shinsegae Invests in SANS Alternative Coffee

Shinsegae Group's corporate venture capital, Signite, has announced a Pre-A investment in the South Korean alternative coffee brand SANS, operated by food tech startup WAKE. SANS creates coffee alternatives without coffee beans, using 12 ingredients like date seeds and chicory roots to mimic the taste of Americano. This investment highlights the growing interest in coffee substitutes due to climate change and health concerns, with the global alternative coffee market showing strong growth.
