ConfidoTech provides a financial technology platform that streamlines the order-to-cash process for businesses. It focuses on ACH payments, letting customers upload bank details to make payments, and delivers invoices and remittance data. The platform offers real-time payment status tracking through customer portals and is designed for quick setup: users log in with their credentials to connect, avoiding lengthy integrations. It ensures accurate remittance details so payments can be automatically applied, reducing processing costs and the risk of lost invoices. Competing primarily on ease of setup, real-time visibility, and automated remittance processing, ConfidoTech targets businesses looking to optimize invoicing and payments. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • CPG brands spend heavily on retailer deductions and billbacks, creating large savings potential.
  • AI automation can cut manual cash-application work and improve reconciliation accuracy.
  • Embedded retailer and ERP integrations strengthen stickiness as transaction volumes scale.

What critics are saying

  • HighRadius and ERP suites can replicate core cash-application features quickly.
  • Dependence on retailer portals and data formats creates integration breakage risk.
  • Narrow CPG exposure concentrates revenue risk within a single customer segment.

What makes Confido unique

  • Confido is purpose-built for CPG brands, not generic accounts receivable teams.
  • It combines cash application, deductions management, and trade promotion management in one platform.
  • Its single GraphQL-based API and credential-based onboarding reduce implementation friction.

Confido Acquires Muffin Data for Analytics

Confido has acquired Muffin Data to enhance its analytics capabilities for CPG brands. Muffin Data, founded by Andrés Recalde and Salvatore Calvo, specializes in consolidating retailer and distributor data. The acquisition will integrate Muffin's data capabilities into Confido's platform, allowing for seamless connection of trade spend analysis with retail sales performance. Muffin will remain a standalone product initially, with full integration expected by year-end.
