About the job
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to push and pull carts up to 100 pounds over various surfaces.
- Ability to stand and walk for long distances, up to 8 hours per day, and perform frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching.
- Ability to operate vacuums, work in confined spaces, and tolerate possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of assigned apartments and common areas.
- Support a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Perform general housekeeping in apartments, including vacuuming, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, and dusting.
- Clean hallways and common areas as directed.
- Complete tasks in the priority order set by the supervisor and follow housekeeping priorities and instructions.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Interact regularly with residents.
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
