Requirements
  • Post-graduate degree or advanced training in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or other highly quantitative field.
  • Strong track record of managing Data Science and Data Analyst teams and demonstrable commercial astuteness.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques and concepts such as sampling methods, prescriptive analytics, attribution modelling, regression, properties of distributions, weighting sample-based data, statistical tests and proper usage, etc. and experience with real-world applications.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, databases, and ETL processes.
  • Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-led projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and influence key senior stakeholders as well as present and liaise with existing and prospective clients.
  • Capacity to foster a healthy, stimulating work environment that frequently harnesses teamwork.
  • Knowledge of AWS environments and services would be beneficial.
  • Experience in either media/digital marketing or a consultancy with a marketing science environment would be highly valued.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a cross functional data team and oversee the development and execution of product research, internal data consultancy, and data accessibility initiatives to support the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Partner with leaders across the company, providing insight and recommendations to shape and calibrate business, product, and data strategy.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams on both local and global initiatives to ensure global coordination, commercial viability, and product governance.
  • Define and monitor the data function’s OKRs, including the measures of effectiveness for data science & analytics.
  • Continue to embed the data function into different parts of the business (product, marketing, tech) and across product lines.
  • Educate and story-tell company-wide. Lead a collaborative partnership with the Engineering and Product teams with seamless strategic alignment.
  • Publish industry thought leadership - strive to be a voice that shapes common understandings of our industry via data research and a scientific approach.
  • Lead Innovid’s continued drive to be a data and data science lead company.
  • You see the bigger picture of the ecosystem you’re building and can help others understand that picture as well.
  • Your teams’ model delivery track record has spanned across a variety of Data Science techniques, and you know from experience when to use the different approaches.
  • Lead advanced quantitative analyses using statistical modelling approaches in order to deliver against measurable business outcomes.
  • Support team members’ professional development throughout their career at Innovid, enhancing their soft and hard skills as required.
  • Guide the research and implementation of new analytical and data products, determining the relevance, appropriateness, and value of modern advances, i.e. AI/Generative AI
  • Oversee and develop our processes for evaluating third party data sets that can add value to our products.
  • Personal applied experience with a variety of data science and analytical techniques across large datasets, proficient in scripting and querying languages.
  • Use a modular approach for building our mature Data Science offering, creating components in a way that can be reused, repurposed and ensuring continuous evolution to support the next generation of our product line.
  • Be comfortable working within the common tech stack which includes (though may not be limited to) AWS, Snowflake, DBT, Jupyter notebooks, Spark, Mongo, and Postgres among others. Documentation and task tracking typically live in JIRA/Confluence.
