Requirements
  • Experience building out robust customer-facing products made up of services, data stores and data streams prioritizing customer impact and sustainability
  • Proven ability to work closely with product and internal teams to architect solutions at high scale
  • Significant experience in one or more backend languages, such as Go, Python or Java; and with different types of data stores, such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis or ElasticSearch
  • Understanding of the common industry patterns for ensuring high availability and performance in distributed systems
  • Passionate to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment providing leadership and direction for a highly technical team
  • Experience with or interest with static analysis tools or an interest in this area
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with our PM and Product Designer to iterate quickly on features and capabilities
  • Develop new infrastructure, services and workflows to support our growing product in a sustainable way
  • Lead technical effort to develop the architecture, patterns, and individual solutions to investigate and remediate problems
  • Own and drive relationships with major stakeholders, helping to prioritize on impact towards the team’s north star
  • Represent and evangelize the project across Datadog
  • Participate in a team on-call rotation to troubleshoot and solve issues with our tools
