Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
  • Seven to ten years of direct experience and a proven track record of leadership are required.
  • One or more of the following certifications is required: Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Accredited in Business Valuation, Accredited Senior Appraiser, Certified Valuation Analyst, or Master Analyst in Financial Forensics.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial litigation and forensic accounting methodologies and fraud detection techniques is required.
  • Strong financial analysis skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and active participation in networking are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects are required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage forensic accounting and commercial litigation support engagements.
  • Take a lead role in developing case strategy, meeting client expectations, and managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Develop business and referral sources.
  • Participate in developing business from existing and prospective clients by expanding relationships and referral sources.
  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts, including webinars, presentations, and events.
  • Act as the key point of contact with clients.
  • Handle billing and other project management tasks.
  • Coach, advise, and direct team members in managing and meeting client expectations.
  • Prepare and/or oversee the development of economic damages models and reports to ensure analysis adequately supports the conclusions reached.
  • Participate in deposition and trial settings, including assisting with preparations leading up to depositions and trials.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of forensic and litigation support standards and methodologies.
  • Adhere to professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
  • Commercial litigation testifying experience or prior engagement as an expert witness is preferred.

Updated June 25, 2026, 5:20 pm Greenville, S.C.-based IPA 100 firm Elliott Davis Advisory (FY24 net revenue of $193.2 million) announced the appointment of Lucas McCain as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer. In this role, McCain will lead the firm's innovation and technology strategy, with a focus on responsible AI, enterprise delivery capabilities and aligning innovation initiatives to measurable business outcomes.
