Despite attempts from several companies to bring people back into the office, remote and hybrid teams are now a mainstay of how we work. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than a third of Americans do some or all of their work at home. The challenge leaders face is finding ways to engage their employees when they aren’t working together in the same location.Team members like the schedule flexibility, lower commuting costs and autonomy of remote work. Organizations can reduce operational expenses by occupying smaller offices and reducing overhead costs related to real estate. However, to make remote work successful and foster the strong relationships that undergird a highly engaged and productive workforce, leaders need to invest extra effort and some financial resources to create connections with employees who aren’t working in person. To overcome the challenges of remote work, it’s important to acknowledge the power of the micro-moments that connect team members during a day in the office: a hello in the hallway, having lunch together or a quick catch up as you walk by someone’s desk. These brief-yet-important occasions don’t happen naturally when teams are spread out in different locations
Axios HQ also announced that Paul Pedrazzi has joined the company as its first Chief Product Officer.
Axios HQ ranks No. 3 on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work 2024.
In a move to further enhance its services, Axios HQ has announced the integration of its platform with two leading collaboration tools - Slack and Microsoft Teams.
And Axios HQ integrates with channels like Slack to keep employees informed no matter where they are.
