Requirements
  • A terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Management, Psychology, or a closely related discipline within Human Resources Management by the appointment start date.
  • A demonstrated record of scholarly achievement and professional engagement, including publications in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Significant professional experience in Human Resources Management or a related field, ideally at the senior or executive level, with the ability to integrate industry insights into teaching.
  • Experience teaching in online or hybrid learning formats.
  • Proven involvement in industry partnerships, consulting projects, or collaborative initiatives.
  • Ongoing, substantive academic and/or professional engagement to maintain currency and relevancy within the field and contribute to the institution’s mission, consistent with AACSB Standard.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule including Boston campus presence, required evening hours, and possible weekend hours.
  • Preparedness to work with global student populations.
Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of graduate courses in Human Resources Management, including talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and strategic human resources management.
  • Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and integration of emerging human resources trends and practices into academic offerings.
  • Oversee instruction of specific courses within the curriculum, including supporting operations in selecting part-time instructors, advising on syllabi, and evaluating part-time instructor performance.
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners and stay current on human resources trends and best practices.
  • Create professional development opportunities for full-time and part-time faculty in the unit.
  • Serve on committees supporting the mission of the program and the vision of the College and University.
  • Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development.
  • Support the advancement of the program through teaching and non-teaching activities, administrative issues, and programmatic projects.
  • Be available to students online and in person as needed.
  • Occasionally travel to the University’s global network of campuses, including for the annual CPS Graduation and Faculty Conference.
