About the job
- Three or more years in project management, implementation or deployment management, technical program management, or field-services coordination; startup, hardware, or solutions-company experience is ideal.
- Proven ability to run multi-stakeholder projects on a schedule and hold others accountable without direct authority.
- Comfort reading and reasoning about a technical scope of work and communicating credibly with solution engineers.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate across internal teams, external partners, and customers.
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to build processes from scratch.
- Own each deployment from signed contract through live, working installation at the customer site.
- Run deployment schedules by defining milestones, sequencing dependencies, tracking status, and surfacing risks and blockers early.
- Serve as the internal coordination hub across sales, solution engineering, and office/logistics.
- Drive a clear, complete statement of work from sales and sales engineering before each deployment starts, and address ambiguous scope.
- Track solution engineers' implementation against the statement of work and keep configuration and readiness on schedule.
- Translate customer requirements and site constraints into a concrete deployment plan.
- Coordinate delivery windows, pickup, and destination readiness with the office/logistics owner and third-party delivery partner.
- Confirm warehouse readiness before each deployment, including staging, configuration, and health checks before shipping.
- Manage installation scheduling, returns, and de-installations.
- Serve as the customer-facing point of contact during rollout, set expectations, communicate timelines, and manage change requests.
- Run deployment kickoffs and post-deployment reviews, capture lessons, and feed improvements into the playbook.
- Report deployment status and the pipeline of upcoming installations to the founding team.
- Build and maintain the deployment playbook, checklists, and tracking to make the process repeatable and scalable.
- Own tools that track deployment status, asset location, and readiness across the fleet.
- Experience deploying hardware or physical installations into venues or field sites.
- Familiarity with project or deployment tracking tools and a customer relationship management system such as HubSpot.
- Background in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations.
- Project Management Professional certification or similar credential.
