About the Company

World Economic Forum

Global platform for cross-sector leadership dialogue

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a not-for-profit organization that brings together leaders from business, government, academia, and civil society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas and to run meetings and initiatives on topics like climate, technology, inclusive growth, health, and trade. It organizes events such as the annual Davos meeting and regional forums, and also runs digital tools and platforms for research and collaboration to connect leaders and support over 100 initiatives. It differentiates itself by remaining independent and neutral, working with international bodies like the UN, World Bank, and WTO, and promoting Stakeholder Theory, which asks companies to serve employees, customers, communities, and the environment, not just shareholders. Its goal is to improve the state of the world through public-private collaboration that drives sustainable development and positive systemic change across economies and societies.
