  • Demonstrated hands-on experience fixing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ideally in a business with physical inventory or warehouse operations.
  • Proven experience building and scaling a finance and accounting department from the ground up in a high-growth environment, including processes, systems, internal controls, key performance indicators, and real-time reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team as the business grows in size and complexity.
  • Experience training non-financial staff on financial, inventory, or operational procedures.
  • Comfort operating at both the technical-accounting level and the detailed operational-execution level.
  • Strong business acumen and experience partnering across Operations, Fulfillment, Procurement, Technology, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
  • Active, hands-on use of artificial intelligence tools in core finance work, such as automating reconciliations and close tasks, analyzing variances and large data sets, building reports and dashboards, documenting procedures, and streamlining accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory workflows.
  • Ability and willingness to work fully on-site at the Davie, Florida office at least 44 hours per week.

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and rapid implementation or migration of the enterprise resource planning platform while minimizing disruption to daily operations.
  • Redesign the end-to-end accounts payable process, resolve backlogs, errors, and missing controls, and establish a standardized, automated workflow.
  • Build the accounts receivable function, replacing ad hoc, memo-based collection practices with standardized, automated invoicing, collections, and dispute-resolution processes.
  • Identify manual, error-prone, or undocumented processes across the department and convert them into documented, automated, repeatable procedures.
  • Develop a full working understanding of the business model, product flow, and warehouse and inventory operations from receiving through fulfillment.
  • Partner with warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure inventory processes are accurate, controlled, and properly reflected in the enterprise resource planning and financial systems.
  • Train warehouse, purchasing, and fulfillment staff on inventory and financial-control procedures relevant to their roles.
  • Monitor and account for inventory adjustments, write-offs, and shrinkage; own inventory accuracy as a core deliverable.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and certified public accounting firms; maintain year-round audit readiness, audit-ready workpapers, prepared-by-client lists, and reconciliations.

  • Own external relationships with key vendors and clients to ensure timely payments, resolve disputes, and protect the company’s standing.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in financial due diligence, banking relationships, and strategic finance activities that require accurate, well-documented accounting records.
  • Deliver operational outcomes including improved inventory accuracy, reduced invoice irregularities and accounts payable errors or backlogs, formalized automated accounts receivable processes, timely enterprise resource planning implementation milestones, and documented automated processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory controls.
  • Develop a finance department able to support a multi-site, national healthcare and pharmacy organization; implement scalable systems and processes, establish accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and financial reporting functions, develop future finance leaders, and partner with Operations and Executive Leadership.
  • Deliver accurate financial information to support timely business decisions and promote accountability, urgency, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Work fully on-site at the Davie office and warehouse at least 44 hours per week, with additional time as needed during close cycles, audits, and key deadlines; divide time between desk-based accounting work and regular presence on the warehouse and operations floor.
